Showtime : Porsche Wins 24 hour Endurance Race At Nürburgring

Porsche Team Manthey has won the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race and marked the fifth victory at this traditional race in the last six years.

With the Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, drivers Marc Lieb (Germany), Timo Bernhard (Germany), Romain Dumas (France) and Lucas Luhr (Switzerland) set the new record distance of 156 laps and 3,958 kilometers (2,460 miles) that underlines the superb effort of their team. The GT3 RSR took the lead on Saturday at 23.25 hours and held on until the checkered flag.

The BMW M3 GT took the second honors while Audi R8 LMS was one lap behind from the end, in third.
