The British journalists from AutoExpress got the chance to conduct an interesting comparison between the four-seater sports cars, new 2011 Vauxhall VXR8 and the Lotus Carlton. The video shows various scenes featuring the comparison between 2011 Vauxhall VXR8 and the Lotus Carlton.

Technical details of both these cars are as follow. The Lotus Carlton is powered by 3.6-litre 24-valves twin turbo engine, produces 377 hp (281 kW) at 5,200 rpm and 568 NM (419 lb-ft) of torque at 4,200 rpm. In terms of performance Lotus Carlton completes 0-62 mph sprint in 5.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 176 mph.

On the other side, 2011 Vauxhall VXR8 powered by Chevrolet 6.2-litre LS3 V8 engine producing 425 hp and 550Nm of torque. Engine is coupled with six-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels and enables the car to accelerate form 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and hits electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
