Less than 40 days are remaining for the Mega Event i.e. ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. Cricket fans are looking forward to cheer for their favorite players. Indian Squad for the mega event of Cricket will be finalized on January 17 in Chennai. National Senior Selection Panel will pick the final 15-members to constitute Indian squad.
“The selection committee is to pick theWorld Cup squad on the 17th at Chennai,” aCricket Board source said on Friday.
As of now, thirty players have been short-listed for the selection into the final squad by the selection panel, with Krishnamachari Srikkanth at the helm. The 30-players list will be reduced to the required number as per ICC regulations for the tournament on January 17.

Indian Squad: M S Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, S Sreesanth, Munaf Patel, Ishant Sharma, Vinay Kumar, M Vijay, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, Sourav Tiwary, Yusuf Pathan, Parthiv Patel, R Ashwin, Wriddhiman Saha, Dinesh Karthik, Shikhar Dhawan, Amit Mishra, Piyush Chawla, Cheteshwar Pujara, Pragyan Ojha, Praveen Kumar.
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 will kick off from February 19. India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are co-hosting the mega event from Feb 19- Apr 2. India are placed in Group B in the preliminary phase along with co-hosts Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, Ireland and Netherlands.
As there are just few days remaining for the World Cup 2011, its global sponsor PepsiCo has launched “Change the Game” Campaign with Indian Cricketers Dhoni, Sehwag, Raina, Kohli and Harbhajan. PepsiCo has created an exciting, engaging and innovative package for brand Pepsi to leverage this mega event. Indian Cricketers will be seen wearing body paints in the Pepsi Ad.
